Bedbugs Symptoms Can Be Mistaken

by Thomas Proctor

When we were kids, our mommies and daddies all warned us with the "bed bugs" tale, and it usually frightened the majority of us sufficiently that we continued lying in bed and slept. If only we had understood what one of those insects was, none of us would have slumber in our beds.

Until now, it has been nearly fifty years since the last reported case of bed bugs. These nasty unwanted creatures travel in people's belongings and make their way to different locations. These bugs surprise us by living in places in which we would least expect to find them. One of the biggest mistakes that someone can make while traveling is to set their suitcase on the bed or couch of the hotel room. If that particular room is infested, you will be carrying these little bugs along with you without even knowing it.

Bedbugs can be very tiny, smaller than a pencil point, or rather large, about the size of an apple seed. The real issue isn't their size but that the bugs like to hide out of the light and out of sight. They stay in their hiding places until late in the night when they emerge to find humans on which to feed.

The color of "bedbugs" will vary a little depending on if they have already fed; in general they are a brownish color. Unless you are experienced you may not know what you are looking at, this is why it is always good to invest in expert advice for any infestation.

There are different ways to verify that you are experiencing "bedbug symptoms". If you have any type of bites it is best to ask a doctor, they will be able to identify the bite quicker than the unsuspecting person. These types of bites look a lot like a mosquito bite; this is why they are so difficult to diagnosis by the average person. Some people may experience more swelling around the bite, or even be more itchy than another person it depends greatly on your reaction to the bite itself, however they will have some reddening around the bite site.

"Bedbug Symptoms" will go away within a few days, unless of course you have brought the infestation home, then the reoccurring bites will continue to make you suffer, until you have completely taken care of the infestation. Besides this making it hard for you to sleep, this is also very unhealthy for you.

As children our parents all told us the "bed bugs" story, and at it normally scared most of us enough that we stayed in bed and went to sleep, if we only had known what one of these bugs were none of us would have slept in our beds. Bedbugs can be very tiny or rather large, about the size of an apple seed. If you think your home might be infested, you should verify that you have bedbug symptoms. Average people are not any good at diagnosing bedbug bites, since they will often confuse a bedbug bite with the mosquito bite, since it looks similar.
